story of a lady

{A story/testi i heard from my NLT class}

A christian lady and her baby was starving but they only had $2. It was only enough to buy either a piece of bread for herself or a small amount of milk for the baby. She prayed.

Do not buy the bread. Do not by the milk. Buy both.

She was confused. $2 is not enough to get both! She prayed again.

Now go down to the super mart.

She obeyed and headed down without second thoughts.

Gather everything you need for the week and do not worry about the payment.

The lady was surprised but she took a shopping cart and began filling it up. Chicken, milk, cookies, rice etc. Now it is time to pay.

Go to counter 3 and pay from that counter.

The lady headed towards the counter. When it was her turn, the cashier said she had to go for lunch and directed her to another counter but the lady said no. She knows that she have to pay from this counter and no other.
The cashier left.
She stayed.
1 hr passed.
The cashier came back.
She handed her groceries over.
The cashier began scanning.
And exactly at that moment, the super mart's speakers started to play an announcement. "Today is our shop's 20th anniversary. The customer that is currently at counter 3, your shopping's are on the house. Have a nice day!"

Seed

The Gardener loves flowers! One day, he decides to plant some at his own backyard. First, he soften the soil so as to help the roots to grow deep into the ground. Later, he planted flower seeds on the softened soil and watered them.

Day after day, the Gardener made sure the little sprouts had just the right amount of water and lots of sunlight. During rainy days, he would wear a raincoat and an umbrella and sit outside with the flowers . He would shield them from the heavy rain water that may crash the tiny flowers and the strong wind that may snap their tiny steam. He made sure that every single flower will bloom and spread their seeds.

On the day of the flower's blooming, he combed back his hair, wore his best shirt and pants, put on perfume and waited. Without taking his eyes off the flowers, he watched as they start to spread out their pedals so beautifully and danced in the sun. But for a flower, they whithers shortly after they are done blooming and spreading their seeds in the wind.

The Gardener plucked the flowers from the soil and placed them in the freezer where they will remain forever so pretty, away from heavy rain water and strong winds, not needing to worry about sunlight and water anymore.

sally the doll

One sunny morning, Sally the doll woke up feeling very happy! She decided to take a stroll on the exciting and noisy Life Street. Life Street is a fun place to hang out because of all the bumps and unexpected coincidence. Combed her hair and clipped on her beloved heart shapped badge, she was all set to go!

Sally skipped her way down the street and noticed her best friend Teddy! With a joyful voice, she greeted him but Teddy responded in a depressing way. Concerned, Sally sat herself down beside Teddy and found out that Teddy's favorate red balloon was stuck up a tree! Without much hesitation, Sally climbed the tree and got the balloon but on the way down, a sharp branch caught a loose tread on her arm. It tore a hole on her arm and some of her stuffings popped out. Teddy saw the red balloon and was overjoyed! He immideatly grabbed the balloon and took off without showing any concern or gratitude to Sally.

The hole and the ungrateful friend totally ruined her mood but she told herself that these things would not stop her from her stroll on Life Street.

Further down the street some Jack-In-Da-Box where playing baseball. One of them hit the ball a little too hard, sending the ball straight at Sally! The heart shapped badge took the full impact of the blow and broke. Upon seeing this, the Jack-In-Da-Boxes instead of rushing over, laughed and hopped off leaving Sally alone with a broken heart shapped badge.

And that was the last straw. Poor little Sally brusted out crying but things on Life Street carried on without stopping down for that poor little doll. As if things was not bad enough for Sally, it began to rain. Water started sipping into her cotton stuffings. After awhile, the water in her stuffings made her body so heavy that she fell, face flat, on the ground. It was putting so much pressure on her so much so she could not even move anymore.

Torned. Broken. Fallen. Pressed down.
At her lowest point, Sally cried out for someone to help. The mayor of Life Street who was near-by heard her and carried her to his house. At home, the mayor fetched out some treads, glue, a blow dryer, a towel, fixed Sally up and sat her down comfortablly beside a fire place.

Mayor: "Are you alright my little one?"
Sally: "Thank you Mr mayor! You saved me and fixed me up!"
Mayor: "Haha! Silly Child! That is part of my job as the mayor of Life Street!"
Sally: "Are you always around?"
Mayor: "Definately! If you call out to me i will come and fix you right up in a jiffy! Listen my little one, this street is fun but at the same time dangerous. Do not let the dangerous things get hold of you alright?"
Sally: "Geez thanks for your advice Mr mayor! I will always remember to come here if i ever need any fixing again!"
Mayor: "Thats my good little child!"

little Johnny Chen

Little Johnny Chen was playing at the sandbox when he suddenly felt lonely and bored. He looked at the sand in the box and a great idea strucked him! Using his bucket, he dug up some sand and poured water into the holes with his waterbottle. The water poured onto the sand made it look like the ocean, little Johnny Chen smiled!

After thinking for a moment on what to do, little Johnny Chen grabbed a handfull of wet sand and moulded it into a person, then he moulded animals of different kind! 6 mins of non stop moulding made Johnny Chen tired and he rested on the next min.

Johnny Chen looked at the little human he created from the sand and realised he was all alone! Grabbing another pile of wet sand, he moulded it into another person which looked almost alike to the first one. He now thinks that they looked happy together and he smiled again.

Little Johnny Chen loved his creation especially with the two person he made as they were created in the image of him. He even built a garden just for them! He loved them so much that he even decided that no matter what they do or how they think about him, he will always love them back and bless them plentifully even though they are sand.

scarecrow

Under the sun the scarecrow stood.
Guarding the crops as he always did.
Mr Scarecrow stared at the scenary which he had been staring at for his entire life.
He had hoped day after day that he could break free from the wooden pole that held him in place.
Efforts of him trying to break free reached the ears of the crows and they took pity on him.
The crows assisted Mr Scarecrow in his escape but was fruitless, so the crows flew over mountains and rivers in search of help.
A wise old baboon was summoned from the forest and brought infront of Mr scarecrow.

Mr Scarecrow: "Would you help me?"
Baboon: "Only if your desire falls in range of my abilities."
Mr Scarecrow: "Please help me break free from this place..."
Baboon: "I see in your heart a strong hope of breaking free but your faith and passion is not in place."
Mr Scarecrow: "O wise baboon! Please enlighten me! Tell me what to do!!"
Baboon: "Have faith in what you are doing! Faith holds power beyond imagination!"
Mr Scarecrow: "I... I do not understand..."
Baboon: "Do things believing you will succeed and not wanting to succeed! You feel me?"

With that last words the baboon departed from Mr Scarecrow, leaving him to meditate on the baboon's words.
After much thought, Mr Scarecrow gathers the crows.
As the crows fixed their eyes on him, he recalled and followed the words of the baboon.
He did the similar stuff as he did everytime he wishes to breakfree but this time, all the bonds and ropes fell off instantly!
With tears in his eyes he ran like the wind and out of the farm.
The crows was dumb founded after witnessing such a miracle.
